An important facet of our mission is maintaining Sierah’s legacy in the community, ensuring that she’s not remembered for how she died but rather what’s happened as a result of her life. Through partnerships with the Greater Toledo Community Foundation and The University of Toledo, 3 scholarships have been established in Sierah’s name for students graduating from high school and for college students pursuing their M.B.A.
Since the beginning of our scholarship program, Justice for Sierah has granted $51,000 to 33 deserving students as part of the Sierah Joughin Memorial Scholarships funds, including the Sierah Joughin Memorial Scholarship Fund for Evergreen High School, the Sierah Joughin Volleyball Scholarship Fund for Fulton County Schools, and the Sierah Joughin Memorial Scholarship for M.B.A. Students at The University of Toledo.
Please share these opportunities with deserving students to help support their dreams, and help us strengthen Sierah’s legacy throughout our community.

Sierah Joughin Memorial Scholarship for The University of Toledo M.B.A. School Students
Congratulations to our 2023 awardees, Madison Hoffman and Kellie Schreiber.
In 2016, Sierah was a lively and ambitious college student, enjoying life as an Alpha Kappa Psi and studying business at The University of Toledo, planning to pursue her M.B.A. in the future. Her life was cut short when she met a tragic death at the hands of a local repeat violent offender.
The Sierah Joughin Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to award scholarships to students enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation, with a preference for individuals who are members of Alpha Kappa Psi, of which Sierah was a member. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.
Although Sierah wasn’t able to fulfill her career goals, we hope this scholarship ensures her legacy lives on by enabling other students the chance to achieve theirs.
